Dana Sexton

Dana Sexton is currently a Junior at Minneapolis College of Art and Design majoring in Print Paper Book with a Teaching Artist minor. She grew up in Saint Paul, Minnesota where she’s worked with 3rd graders at Expo Elementary school, 2nd grade at Kenwood and Whittier International Elementary, 4th grade at Sioux Falls and Preschool at Urban Arts Academy. 

She is a recipient of Friends of MCAD scholarship and also The Morrison Leadership Scholarship. When teaching she focus’ on the students own creative process / style and approaches all with a plan to help them fulfill the lesson given. She hopes to open young peoples minds to different mediums of art and show them that even the ones who feel less artistic have a place in the art world and are welcomed with tricks and platforms to get them to where they want to be.
