Perpich Center for Arts Education -4 hours
This week at Perpich the students were focused on making cyanotypes! Before class started I took some time to go around the galleries to see what each of the students had up. It gave me a good opportunity to see all their work, and think about what other photographers would be good for them to see. We started the class on Monday by having the students do a quick critique of the pinhole photos the students had been working on last week. A lot of the students had done portraits for their pinhole projects so there was a variety of styles. Once we finished the critique I walked around and talked to the studnets about ideas that they had for the cyanotype project. Some of the students were eager to keep working on the self portraits in cyanotype, so I had a few examples to show them. One of the students was very excited about doing cyanotypes onto fabric so I instantly thought of Shane and showed the a couple of example of Shane’s work.
